Abstract
The discrete Fourier transform (DFT) has been successfully utilized in determining such microwave signal parameters as center frequency, integrated intensity and line width of both theoretical Lorentzian line shapes and experimental microwave data. Also, the DFT has been directly applied to resolution enhancement of microwave signals. Digital cross-correlation and DFT techniques have been employed to improve signal to noise ratios and the relative merits of each are discussed.
