Abstract

This essay introduces an interdisciplinary volume that explores factual and fictional episodes of fear, horror and terror, and takes a look at how these representations circulate with our global culture. In it, Beth Kattelman and Magdalena Hodalska discuss global commonalities among the response to fear, horror, and terror. They also state that witnesses to human anguish have "an obligation to share what they know."
