Abstract
“We have measured the lines of a number of OCS bands in the 1.5 to 2.5 $\mu$ region to a precision of better than $\pm 0.003 cm^{-1}$. We have analyzed these bands making use of the highly accurate microwave measurements of the ground state of the molecule and the known value of the velocity of light. It has been observed that the 003-000 band suffers a Coriolus perturbation which has been analyzed. The quantity $D^{\prime}D^{\prime}^{\prime}$ has been measured for a number of bands. An $\alpha_{s}$ value has been obtained, which quantity can be compared to the $\alpha_{s}$ determined by microwave spectroscopy.”
