Abstract

Molecular parameters for $CD_{3} l$ have been obtained from a simultaneous analysis of high resolution spectra of $\nu_{2}+\nu_{4}$, $\nu_{4}+\nu_{5}$, and $2\nu_{4}$. Approximately one thousand transitions have been analyzed using both a second and third order Amat and Nielsen model. The results of the second order analysis were used to filter out perturbed transitions before performing the third order analysis. It has been found that perturbations which are observed in $\nu_{2}+\nu_{4}$and $\nu_{4}+\nu_{5}$ cannot be explained in terms of interactions between the two bands, nor in terms of interactions with $\nu_{1}+\nu_{5}$ which has also been observed in the same spectral region.
