Abstract

This preliminary work describes the performance characteristics of a Tunable diode laser (TDL) system which incorporates diamond turned off axis parabolic mirrors throughout the system. The TDL is wavelength stabilized by a spherical Fabry-Perot which in turn is locked to the fringe of a single mode stabilized HeNe laser. The etalon may be scanned under computer control with the TDL locked to the etalon fringe. Preliminary data on carbon dioxide and acetylene will be presented.
