Knowledge Bank

The vibrational spectrum of the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">7</mrow>}LiO$ radical $(v=1-O)$ was observed by infrared diode laser spectroscopy. The LiO radical was produced in a heat pipe cell by the reaction of $N2O$ and Li vapor, as in the microwave measurement. Analysis of the present infrared data combined with the microwave results gave precise values for band origin and spin-orbit interaction constants.
