Abstract

In an effort to obtain laboratory infrared spectral intensity information for stratospheric monitoring of Freon 11 $(CFCl_{3})$, Fourier transform spectra have been recorded (with $0.25 cm^{-1}$ resolution) at stratospheric temperature ($216^\circ K$ at 20 km) as well as ambient ($293^\circ K$) for both the pure gas and Freon/$N_{2}$ mixtures. Spectra were obtained over a range of (pressure x path) conditions, and curves of growth and integrated band intensities for the 847 $cm^{-1}$, 934 $cm^{-1}$ and 1085 $cm^{-1}$ bands of the molecule will be presented.
