Abstract

The infrared spectrum of gaseous $H_{2}S_{2}, CF_{3}SH$ and $CF_{3}SD$ has been observed down to $100 cm^{-1}$. From the observed torsion frequencies, the barriers hindering internal rotation are suggested as about $2400 cm^{-1}$ for $H_{2}S_{2}$, and $425 cm^{-1}$ for $CF_{3}SH$. The potential function implies that the dihedral angle of $H_{2}S_{2}$ is close to $90^{\circ}$. The fundamental frequency assignments of $CF_{3}SH$ are discussed.
