Abstract
PACT is a non-profit partnership comprised of The Ohio State University, City of Columbus and Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority. PACT's vision is to create a financially and environmentally sustainable, healthy community where residents can have access to safe and affordable housing, quality healthcare and education, and employment opportunities on the Near East Side of Columbus.
Description
IMPACT. 1: To promote a culturally and economically diverse, healthy community by providing education, job training, and employment opportunities. -- 2. To be a catalyst for continuing and expanding redevelopment efforts in the surrounding area — while including stakeholders in major decisions throughout the redevelopment process — and to promote and protect commercial and retail development within the defined geography. -- 3. To provide recreational opportunities for children and families.
