Abstract

The occurrence of pedestal vessels (chalices) in the Late Prehistoric Period is reviewed, with examples illustrated from the Madisonville Site, Hamilton Co., Ohio; the St. Francis Complex of the Missouri-Arkansas area; McPherson Co., Kansas; and a Monongahela Complex village site in southwestern Pennsylvania.
