Abstract

The role of non adiabatic effects in the $(H^{+}_{3})$ collision system is investigated within the framework of natural coordinate reactive scattering theory. Matrix elements coupling the channels $H^{+} + H_{2}$ and $H + H^{+}_{2}$ are obtained in natural coordinates from diatomics-in-molecules theory, and the role of internal energy in facilitating charge transfer in inelastic and reactive collisions is discussed.
