Abstract

Through lectures, discussion, materials, online modules, resources, lesson plans, and other methods, teachers are given tools about East Asian history, culture, literature, and current affairs issues to help globalize their curriculum.

Description

IMPACT. 1: 2017 Summer Global Teacher Seminar—"Human Rights in a Global Perspective: Mass Atrocities and State-Sponsored Violence" will be held June 5-9, 2017 at OSU for middle and high school social studies teachers. -- 2. Korea Workshop 2017 — "Bringing Korea in the Classroom: A Workshop for Ohio Teachers " will be held June 8-9, 2017 at OSU for middle and high school social studies teachers. -- 3. NCTA Ohio Teacher Seminar—National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA-Ohio) will be held June 12—16, 2017 at OSU with a focus on East Asian history, literature, culture, and more for middle and high school teachers.
