Abstract

This chapter argues that student employment in the library has the potential to add substantially to a student’s educational experience by providing transferable skills, collaborative work, opportunities for authentic feedback, mentors and more. Concrete suggestions for educationally enhancing student experiences in academic libraries are provided.
