Abstract
The laser induced fluorescence spectrum of strontium monosulfide (Sr5) was recorded. Sr5 was produced by the reaction of strontium vapor and carbon cisulfide (CS2) in a Broida oven. The 0-0, 0-1, 1-1, 3-0, 4-1, 5-1, and 5-2 vibrational bands of the previously unobserved $A^{1}\Sigma^{+}-X^{1}\Sigma^{+}$ electronic system were measured and analyzed. Spectra and molecular constants will be presented.
