Abstract

The pure rotational spectra of some atmospheric gases have been obtained by a computerized CARS system. Unlike the four-color scheme employed by $Beattie ^{1}$ for pure rotational CARS, a three-color scheme has been adopted. Both non-phase matched and the $Boxcars ^{2}$ technique were used in obtaining spectra. An evaluation of the technique for the determination of gas temperatures is being made and will be reported.
