Abstract

The absolute intensities of the Q branches in the ethane bands at 3, 7, and 12 microns have been measured from spectra obtained at 150K, 200K, and 296K. Nitrogen was used as a broadener gas. The spectra were obtained using a Fourier Transform interferometer with a resolution of up to $0.04 cm^{-1}$. Cooled absorption cells developed at Stony Brook were employed to obtain the low temperature spectra.
