Abstract

Measurements of the transmittance of room air at ambient pressure and water vapor samples broadened with nitrogen to 1 atmosphere total pressure are presented for selected HF and DF laser lines between 2445.41 and $3898.86 cm^{-1}$. The experiments were conducted using a small grating-tunable HF-DF laser and a White-type absorption cell with path length adjustable from 61 meters to more than 1 kilometer. Comparison is made between the measured data and calculations based on line parameter $tabulations.^{1}$
