Abstract
Nickel is known to enter the AgCl lattice as $Ni^{2+}$ which is almost completely (98%) vacancy compensated. The uncompensated nickel centers are known to trap electrons. Our ODMR work has shown that $[(NiCl_{6})^{4}- Ag^{+}_{vac}]$ can act as a radiative recombination center by first trapping an electron. Analysis of the $[(NiCl_{6})_{5}- Ag^{+}_{vac}]$ resonances yields values of 2.737 for $g_^{\prime}$ and 2.150 for g. These results help to define the low-temperature ($1.6 - 4.2^{\circ} $K) photo-physics of AgCl.
