Abstract

This volume is a compilation of abstracts by participants of the Antarctic Weather Forecasting Workshop held 17-19 May 2000 at the Byrd Polar Research Center. Sessions for the workshop include: Operational weather forecasting in the Antarctic; Antarctic meteorology research and observations; atmopspheric analyses in the Antarctic; numerical weather prediction in the Antarctic; the future of Antarctic operational weather prediction; seasonal climate prediction; future of atmospheric observing systems in the Antarctic; and, future of numerical weather prediction in the Antarctic.
