This is the minutes for the Council on Academic Affairs' meeting on March 7, 2007. Brian L. Winer and W. Randy Smith (the Chair and Vice Chair, respectively) gave comments regarding relevant updates. Professor E. Kay Halasek presented the proposal to establish the Center for the Study of Religion. Professors Sarah Iles Johnston and Hugh Urban discussed this proposal with the Council. Professors Brian L. Winer and W. Randy Smith presented the proposal from the Department of Human and Community Resources Development to change the name of its Book 3 heading "Agricultural Education" to "Agricultural and Extension Education" and to change permanent academic unit number (PERMACUN) from AGR EDUC to AEE. Professor M. Susie Whittington and Dr. Jill Pfister discussed this proposal with the Council.
