Abstract
Millimeterwave spectrometer combined with a pulsed supersonic jet nozzle was applied to observe the absorption spectra of the van der Waals bending band of ArDCN in 250 GHz region. Several rovibrational transitions split into hyperfine structure due to the nitrogen nucleus were observed. They were assigned to the lines for the subbands $\Sigma_{1}$ and $\Sigma_{0}$ and $\Pi_{1} - \Sigma_{0}$ of the $j = 1 - 0$ vd W bend band, although we still have some uncertainty in the rotational {J} quantum assignment. The pure rotational spectra in the ground $\Sigma_{0}$ state were also measured with same millimeterwave spectrometer in the frequency region of 120 - 260 GHz. The high-{J} transitions up to $J = 23 - 22$ were observed and the molecular constants including higher order centrifugal distortion constants were derived. The simultaneous analysis of the pure rotational and vdW band will give us an improved set of molecular constants of ArDCN including the band origins, rotational constants, quadrupole coupling constants, and the Coriolis coupling constant between the $\Sigma_{1}$ and $\Pi_{1}$ bending substates.
