Abstract

This past Summer I interned at the Dayton Foodbank. My summer was primarily spent in the Foodbank’s urban garden. In addition to working alongside the Garden Manager on maintaining the garden, I gathered educational resources to be used for when school aged groups visit the garden. I co-led hands on activities for a group of preschool kids weekly in July and August. I also assisted in the planting and harvesting of produce as well as aided in special garden projects.
