Abstract

Infrared spectra of isotopically mixed $CO_{2}$ crystals have been studied as a function of concentration. The shifts in frequency with concentration are generally as expected. Some of the line widths appear to be anomalously broad and are affected by interference between dilute guest absorptions and the host continuum. The results will be presented and discussed.
