Abstract

Infrared spectra of Si(CCH)4,Ge(CCH)4, and Sn(CCH)4 have been measured from 33 to 4000cm−1 for the vapor and for solutions in several solvents. Raman spectra with polarizations were obtained for solutions. T1 symmetry was assumed and was completely satisfactory. Fundamentals for species a1 and f2 could be assigned with little difficulty, but only a few of the Raman active e fundamentals were observed.
