Abstract
Phase transitions in liquid crystals (LC) influence on dinamic of intermolecular vibrations and it is manifested in changes of frequencies and shape of corresponding vibrational bands. Investigation results of temperature variation of Raman spectra of supercooled MBBA in frequencies range corresponding intermolecular vibrations are presented in the present report. The dynamics and kinetics of phase transitions has been investigated. According to temperature variations of the widths and Raman band shifts it was obtained information about the temperature and character of polymorphous transitions, the dynamics of conformational angle between plane of ring and the C=N-C group under polymorphous transitions, the times of structural relaxation.
