Abstract

The microwave rotational spectrum of $1,2-D_{2}$ -benzene chromium tricarbonyl was measured using a Flygare-Balle type pulsed-beam spectrometer. This spectrum contains two sets of lines, due to two different structural isomers of this complex. These isomers are believed to be due to reduction of the benzene symmetry due to interactions with the $Cr(CO)_{3}$ moiety which result in C - C bond length differences of $0.016 {\AA}$.
