Abstract

A difference frequency laser spectrometer along with velocity modulation detection was used to record the spectrum, between 3500 and 2900cm−1, of an AC glow discharge with a gas mixture of N2/H2/He. Although the gas mixture was choosen to optimize the NH2+ signals, several ammonia cation lines are also present in the spectrum. Our observation of the v2+v3v2 band is to be added to the previous studies of the v3←0 and v2←0 bands1−2 of NH3+. The results of our analysis will be presented. Our attempt to identify the v3+v4v4 band will also be reported.
