Abstract

A new saturation method is employed to determine the vibrational transition moments for the HF stretch in two binary, isoelectronic complexes. Line strength enhancements over the HF monomer value, as a result of hydrogen bonding, are reported. Substantial variation in the vibrational predissociation linewidths, frequency shifts, and well depths between $N_{2}$-HF and OC-HF have been $observed.^{1,2}$ Analogous comparisons between the transition moments with these parameters, as well as to $(HF)_{2}$, will be presented.
