Abstract
For my STEP Project, I completed the Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP) over the summer of 2019. My step project program required me to attend professional development seminars while also serving as both a full-time student and intern. During my time in WAIP, I had the pleasure of working on Capitol Hill in the Office of Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio as a legislative intern where I worked on health and education policy. Finally, as a student, I was required to write a 12-page capstone policy paper which I wrote on amending Housing Discrimination policy.
