Abstract
The VCD spectrum of trans-1,2-dimethylcyclopropane has been measured between 3200 and $900 cm^{-1}$. As a saturated hydrocarbon $C_{5}H_{10}$ is the simplest molecule studied to date using VCD. The data will be compared with that previously reported for other trans-disubstituted cyclopropanes. A vibrational analysis and fixed partial charge results for this molecule will be discussed.
