Abstract
The microwave spectrum of methoxy ozonide (3-methoxy-1,2,4-trioxolane) has been assigned. The ground state rotational constants for the parent species are: $A=4815.375(4) MHz, B \equiv 2435.842(3) MHz$ and $C=2336.66(4) MHz$. Spectra have also been assigned for the three species singly deuterated on the ring as well as the $5,5=d_{2}$ species, the $3,5,5=d_{3}$ species and the $OCD_{3}$ species. For the $trans=d_{1}$ and the $OCD_{3}$ species only Q branch transitions have been assigned. A least-squares fit of the structure to twenty-two inertial parameters including moments of inertia, A-C, and Kappa indicates an axial methoxy group oriented over the ring. The dihedral angle $O_{e}=C=O=CH_{3}$ is approximately $55^{\circ}$ where $O_{e}$ is the ether oxygen.
