Abstract

HCCF is being extensively studied in the fundamental and overtone regions primarily in Reading but with assistance of the laboratories in Princeton and MIT where double resonance experiments have been performed. The molecule is extremely interesting as a prototype system for intramolecular vibrational energy transfer due to the near 1:2:3 resonance of the $C-H, C\equiv C$ and C-F modes which leads to a rich spectrum with many combination bands. The present state of the knowledge of the spectrum and its interpretation will be discussed.
