Abstract
Investigations of the infrared solar spectrum from $7-13 \mu$ with a high-resolution grating spectrometer have shown that most of the observed structure is caused by the known atmospheric gases, $CO_{2}, H_{2}O, N_{2}O, O_{3}$, and $CH_{4}$. Very low upper limits must be set to the amounts of NO, $N_{2}O_{4}, C_{2}H_{4}, C_{2}N_{2}$, and $NH_{3}$.
