Abstract

Bound-bound absolute radiative transition probabilities for $^{7}LiH (A^{1}\Sigma^{+} - X^{1}\Sigma^{+})$ bands Including even the high-lying vibrational levels ($0 \geq v^{\prime\prime} \geq 26, 0 \geq v^{\prime\prime} \geq 23$) have been reported $recently^{1,2}$. Using the same potential curves and electronic dipole strength function we have extended our calculations to Include bound-continuum radiative transition probabilities. The behavior of the broad oscillatory intensity distribution for the bound-free transitions will be examined; particular Emphasis will be placed on the change from bound-bound to bound-free emission. Similar calculations on other diatomics are in progress. Our most recent results will be briefly summarized.
