Knowledge Bank

The visible absorption spectra of $CH2S$ and $CD2S$ have been identified and analyzed. The 6100 {\AA}-4000 {\AA} absorption represents an $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">1</mrow>}A2\leftarrow X1A1$ electronic transition; the magnetic dipole component is greater Chan in the analogous $n\to \Pi \ast$ system of formaldehyde. Rotational analyses of selected bands of the system will be presented.
