Abstract

The visible absorption spectra of CH2S and CD2S have been identified and analyzed. The 6100 {\AA}-4000 {\AA} absorption represents an 1A2X1A1 electronic transition; the magnetic dipole component is greater Chan in the analogous nΠ system of formaldehyde. Rotational analyses of selected bands of the system will be presented.
