Abstract
The North America Husbandry Internship at the Columbus Zoo was a 12 week long unpaid opportunity that I participated in from May to August of 2024. This internship gave me hands-on experience with animal care, showing me what life looks like for a full-time zookeeper. I worked 3 days a week doing tasks such as preparing animal diets, cleaning exhibits, learning how to interact with the public and more! I also completed quizzes, trainings, and a final project that helped me expand on my time there.
