Abstract

The absorption spectrum of p-chloroaniline has been examined in pure crystals at 4.2$^{\circ} K$. Comparison of the pure crystal spectra with those previously obtained for the mixed crystal revealed large changes in the vibronic intensity patterns. The pure crystal spectrum appears to be a case of electronic weak-coupling.
