Knowledge Bank

Traveled to Guatemala for one week with 12 other Ohio State students to build three different homes for families located in a very poor mountainous region of Guatemala. Partnered with Constru Casa, we learned to master teamwork with the employees and family members in order to quickly and effectively serve the community in need. After one short week, our team was able to provide three families with running water, a toilet and shower, and concrete walls. Being in such a remote area, our tasks were very strenuous and difficult to achieve. However, working as a team, we learned to effectively persevere through high altitudes and temperatures to help those in need.
