The absorption shifts caused by $WVI$ reduction are examined for various $VVWVI+V$ and $WVVI$ ratios. There is accord with structures already inferred for $X(YZ2O10)4$ type ions, their salts, and acids. Some anomalies in the data are discussed and additional experiments are suggested, including those with paramagnetic tenancy of X sites.
