Abstract
By the application of a bootstrap approach, a first-order centrifugal distortion analysis has been performed for both 1,3-dioxane and tetrahydropyran. Values of the quartic centrifugal distortion coefficients have been obtained. The rotational transitions used in the analysis are predominantly Q branch asymmetry doublets with J up to 25. Low J lines from the Q and R branches, taken from previously published work, are also included.
