Abstract
The relative intensities of infrared absorption bands of solid benzene films have been measured in an attempt to determine the possibility of reliable intensity measurements for solids. Influence of temperature and slit width on the measured intensities has been studied. The absolute intensities have also been estimated. These have been compared with the gas-phase intensities.
