Abstract

Optical-optical double resonance, using two tunable dye lasers pumped by a nitrogen laser, has been used to characterize several hitherto unobserved gerade excited electronic states in 7Li2. One laser fixed in wavelength, excited molecules from the X1Σg+ ground state to a single level in the A1Σu+ state. The second laser excited Molecules in the A state to the gerade states, which include at least one 1Σg+ state and at least one 1Πg state. Molecular constants obtained for these states will be given.
