Knowledge Bank

The infrared spectrum of totally deuterated allene, $D2CCCD2$ in the region from about 1880 to $1950cm-1$ has been recorded under high resolution. The fundamental band $\nu 6(b2)$, corresponding to the symmetric $C=C$ stretching vibration, is partially overlapped by the hot band $\nu 6+\nu 11-\nu 11$ and other combination bands. The most relevant upper state constants are: $\nu 0=1920.2363cm-1,\Delta B=-1.111\times 10-3$ $cm-1$, and $\Delta =-0.69\times 10-3cm-1$.
