Abstract

SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), an initiative of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), is an alliance of universities, research libraries and organizations. SPARC serves as a catalyst for action in helping to create scholarly communication systems that expand information dissemination and use in networked responding to the needs of academe.
