Abstract

Hydrogen peroxide is the simplest molecule that can execute torsional motion, and as a light asymmetric rotor has substantial centrifugal distortion contributions to its rotational-torsional spectrum. The millimeter-wave spectrum of HOOH has been studied in the $n=0$ and $n=1, \tau=1,2$ and $\tau= 3,4$ torsional state. Data were taken using a TWT based broadband spectrometer. The results of an analysis and assignments will be presented. A comparison with earlier work on this state of HOOH will be presented.
