Knowledge Bank

The $\upsilon 1$ and $\upsilon 3$ bands of $PF3$ have been measured using a tunable diode laser operating in the region from $840cm-1$ to $845cm-1$. Sub-Doppler laser Stark resonance spectra have also been measured using an intracavity Stark cell and a $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">13</mrow>}CO2$ laser. The intracavity Stark cell has been constructed at Louvain-La-Neuve and will be described in another paper at this meeting. The $\upsilon 1$ and $\upsilon 3$ bands interact through the usual Coriolis interaction that couples $A1$ and E vibrational fundamentals of $C3V$ molecules. The spectra and assignments will be described and preliminary band constants will be presented.
