Abstract

Line shapes and half widths have been measured for the vibrational Q branch lines and the pure rotational lines of O2 and N2 in the range of 1/2 to 5 atmospheres using single mode laser excitation. Changes in profile with pressure have been compared with computed plots which simulate experimental conditions.
