Abstract
The Making a Difference Program is a collaboration between the OSU College of Nursing and Making A Difference, Inc. to engage Near East Side residents in health and wellness. Through student and faculty engagement, the program provides much-needed screening for diagnoses such as hypertension, heart diseases, diabetes, and depression. Additionally, the Making a Difference Program strives to build capacity by conducting grant-writing workshops in the Near East Side and funding community-initiated projects.
