Knowledge Bank

We analyze the Q-branch transitions of the $a2\upsilon 2-s\upsilon 2$ band of $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">14</mrow>}NH3$ based on a polynomial expansion up to eighth order in J and K. A good fit to the data for $J\le 11$ and precise values of the molecular constants are obtained in a 13-parameter fit $(\Delta GJJKK=\Delta GKKKK=0)$. Results of the statistical analysis are used to calculate wavenumbers and variances for transitions with $J\le 13$ that have not yet been measured.
