Abstract

The structure of ArOCS has been determined by microwave and radio-frequency spectroscopy. The molecular constants are: {A} = 6786.014(20) \mbox{ MHz }{B} = 1509.909(6){C}= 1227.220(6)\mu_{a} = 0.2146(10)\mbox{ Debye }\mu_{b} = 0.669(2) The structure of ArOCS is ``T” shaped with Ar binding approximately to the carbon of DCS, with an Ar-C bond length of 3.578 \AA. The geometry is in good agreement with a picture of weak binding dominated by acceptor-donor interactions Lewis acid-base or Mulliken charge transfer).
